Added advantage... Crown's ability to recognize industry needs has resulted in the development of the Prelam II process. While Prelam II continues to offer the same benefits as standard Prelam, it also presents the added convenience of pre-cut windshield shapes.
The process is as follows... First, a roll of bi-layer Prelam is produced. Then a specified windshield shape is cut into the anti-solar film only. The film on the perimeter of the shape is then peeled away and discarded (at this time, registration marks can be added if necessary). This process results in entire rolls of pre-cut windshield shapes to which a second layer of plastic sheeting can be applied for the making of complete tri-layer rolls.
